Clare Zecher
Multisport Trainer
Clare has been actively racing triathlons for 20 years and completed her first marathon in 1999. Her love of cycling and running started the summer after her senior year in high school with a 40-mile group ride with the St. Louis Touring Cyclists. From there, a sprint triathlon that summer had her hooked. In the past 20 years Clare has completed two ironmans, seven marathons, more than 25 half ironmans, and a PBPas a solid mid-pack age-grouper with two Team USA qualifications with USAT in both long course and winter triathlon.
As a coach, Clare was the Chicago Fit (part of USA Fit) marathon group head marathon coach in 2000 and 2001 and helped 386 people complete their first marathons through a 26-week program. She also coached for USA Fit online as a marathon coach. Clare co-started the Wilton YMCA tri program in 2009 helping beginners learn to swim, bike and run their way through their first triathlon. She began training individual clients in 2008 and continues to love riding with and coaching others, especially first-timers at long distance.
Clare resides in West Redding, CT with her husband, Phil and two dogs, Zorba and Licorice.
