Liz West
Cycling Trainer
Liz West was born and raised in western Canada, but now calls Westport, CT home. Sports and fitness have always been an important part of her life. Liz has participated in most sports and played college volleyball for OLLU in San Antonio, TX. She later received an MS degree in nutrition from the University of New Haven. Whether in school, working at Nutrilite producing food supplements, or raising a family, Liz has also worked in some aspect of fitness instruction. She took a three-year hiatus, however, after learning she was pregnant with twins. But when her twin boys started walking, she realized she needed to start moving again herself and looked for a way to ease back into training. That's when she discovered her true passion was cycling. Liz has placed in the top ten female riders in a number of hill climbs, including Mt Washington, Mt Equinox, Mt. Charleston (NV), and the Housatonic Hills road race. She has also placed in the top five in the California Eastern Sierra Double Century, The Tour of California Alps - Death Ride, and the Mullholland Challenge. Liz is an AFAA certified personal trainer who works out with great enthusiasm and enjoys working with others to help them achieve their own personal goals.
