Where are the Crosswinds?

Okay, I admit that there is NO good reason to blog a training ride. That said, I can't help myself. After 2 successive weekends of hurricanes rolling through (okay, tropical storms), I've decided to go indoors and take advantage of the fine facilities at TT. With the Kona course loaded on Netathlon, this was a great opportunity to scout out the hallowed grounds of Hawaii. On Saturday, I said hello and goodbye to the 6:00, 7:30, and 9:00 classes. Inspiration was drawn from a couple of thoughts I had throughout the morning: 1) "Wow, I'm glad I'm not doing Eneas' class right now, that looks REALLY hard!" and 2) "Wow, Patti Masarek is here for her FIRST indoor ride ever (and despite being scared to death) is crushing it (and crushing her husband Alan as well!)!
Bottom line, I did NOT complete the Kona course and limped off the bike at mile 100. No doubt I wouldn't have made it that long without seeing folks in all 3 classes turning themselves inside out! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Eneas
OK, I'm sold. Next month, if Arizona's on the playlist, I'm there.
Mitch,
As a tri newbie it's great seeing your training up close. It's amazing what you can accomplish with hard work and dedication.
Keep updated on the training.
