Endurance & Strength Winter Training Update

Our Winter Training Program: Week 1 (5 week cycle) begins this coming Monday 12/19/11. Get a leg up on the competition and set the foundation for the best fitness of your life by joining our group class programs in swimming/cycling/running/Long Course and strength.

Important Updates to Programs

Strength Training:

 

  • We are proud to announce the revamp of our strength training program anchored with our strength specialist, Torr Bennetta. Clients may access our team of strength coaches through our group classes or with individualized training sessions.
  • The group strength program will focus on pure strength development on Mondays and strength endurance + plyometrics on Wednesdays.
  • Strength classes are held at the following locations and times:
    • Westport:          
      • Monday - 6:00 AM
      • Monday - 5:30 PM
      • Wednesday - 6:00 AM
    • Greenwich:        
      • Monday - 6:00 AM
      • Wednesday - 7:00 PM
  • For a great combination of strength and cardio try one of our TARGETBurn mid morning classes!

 

Strength and Body Composition Testing:

 

  • With the new year around the corner, now is the time to get a baseline on your current strength imbalances and body composition.
  • These evaluations are Free for TTMembers or $100 for non TTMembers. Please contact Torr to schedule your appointment.

 

Swimming:

 

  • Monday morning 6:00 AM swims have been removed from schedule.
  • Swim sessions are Monday & Wednesday, 6:30 PM at Staples High School and Friday, 6:00 AM at Norwalk High School. Note that there will be no swim sessions on December 26th.
  • Weekly Personal training swim sessions may be booked at 7:30PM Monday's and Wednesday's, or by special appointment. Please contact Dom or Eneas for details.

 

Long Course:

 

  • If your focus is on half-ironman, ironman, or century+ rides, our "long course" sessions will train you to adapt physiologically and mentally to the stresses incurred in these events. Our long course workouts focus on the sustained endurance intervals needed for long cycling or triathlon events. We offer "long-course" workouts in swimming, cycling, and running.
  • Long Course training sessions are currently held in Westport as separate classes and at our Greenwich location as part of our standard sessions.
    • Tuesday - 5:45 AM Cycling
    • Wednesday - 6:30 PM Swim
    • Thursday - 5:45 AM Duathlon
    • Saturday - 7:30 AM Cycling
    • Sunday - 10:00 AM Run

 

Cycling + Running:

 

  • Our cycling and running programs will be focused on interval training designed to increase sport specific muscle recruitment and developing aerobic and sub threshold capacity.
