DALMAC starts today
The DALMAC ride begins today in East Lansing, Michigan at the MSU Pavillion. Roughly 2,500 riders will start here and end up at the Mackinaw Bridge roughly 400 miles later via five different routes. My husband Phil and I are riding the 5 UP course. For those that have met Phil, you know that he learned to ride a bike this year and Eneas and the TT crew have been helping him build some stamina and endurance for bike riding. He's done one 40 miler ride this year, and the average mileages over this five day ride are between 65 and 100 miles. Good luck Phil!
While on this ride we will be using our SPOT. The information is included below. While folks might not actually wonder where we are in Michigan from TT, well, our families like knowing where we are. We use the SPOT and its technology on our sail boat when doing deliveries and sometimes on bke rides. Essentiall, throughout the day the SPOT will automatically send its coordinates by satellite which will post to a website. We are providing the link to the website. Additionally, should we choose, we can send these updates to our families via email by push from the SPOT at any time.
We thought people might be interested in using SPOT on their rides, so you can see how it works here over the next five days. Just click the link.
Cheers,
Clare
